Club News
Our first match of the year was away to Anglian Windows on Tuesday 21st September.
Although we had six of our regular players missing we managed to put out four blocks to play and we did put up a good fight against tough opponents.
Our first block of Pauline Linda and Dennis did extremely well in being 8 shots up by the 6th end and they managed to hold on to a good lead until the final score of
8-18 to Felthorpe.
On mat 2 we had Marjorie Carol & Frank who was also having an excellent game by being 9-2 up at the 9th end and they carried on to win 7-13.
Both these first games were good wins but unfortunately Anglian W. left their best till last and our number 3 block of Mick Trevor and Murial was 7-1 down at the 7th end and could not get the upper hand and they lost 14-4.
Our other block of Laurie Irene and Val had a hard time also and was 12-2 down at 8 ends and the final score was 19-2 to the home team.
At the end of the match the score was 48-37 shots to Anglian Windows and the points allocated were 10 to Anglian Windows and 4 to Felthorpe.
As we were playing against a very good club our teams gave a good impression on their first outing. We had Dennis and Irene playing their first competitive game for us and we hope they come back for more in the future.
